Metallica's album sales fall following Spotify deal
But band's management say the figures are not worrying Metallica's album sales have fallen since their backcatalogue was made available for streaming on Spotify. According to figures published by Billboard from Christmas 2008 through to 2012, album sales dropped 15% in the week after December 6 when Metallica's music was first made available for streaming and 35% in the second week.
